Below is a list of furniture which the college is disposing of. Many of the pieces would benefit from some TLC or ‘upcycling’. We invite you to take items in exchange for a suitable donation to the college.
Reserving a furniture item
On the 13th and 14th April, the furniture will be on display in the MTC ante room. If you are interested in a particular item, email Sarah Butler on librarian@some.ox.ac.uk. She will place you at the head of the list, and all others enquiring about that item will go on a waiting list.
Donation
How much you offer as a donation to the college is up to you. Treasury will let you know how to make the payment (typically payment is made via your battels).
Terms and conditions
No items of furniture on this list are to be in college after 14th April. You are responsible for taking the furniture away before that date. We do not have room to store the furniture in college until such a time that you are able to have it removed, so please do not request this. If you are unable to remove a piece of furniture before 15th April, please do not select any pieces!
We are not able to help you move the furniture. If you do not have someone to help you, or a suitably sized vehicle to take the items away in, please do not select any pieces!
We are not responsible for the quality of the furniture you are selecting. The items are offered as they are – cracks, scratches and insects (living and dead) are for you to deal with upon receipt. If you don’t like imperfection, please do not select any pieces!
